The American Bison Colorized $2 Bill is a proud display of the United States spirit. An American Bison is featured on the reverse of a genuine $2.00 bill using a special colorizing technology. The result shows the glory of the United States' largest land animal, the bison. Here the bison is shown in a natural setting colorized over the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Under the colorization, the words In God We Trust can still be found. The American Bison was nearly extinct in the 19th Century but has recently made a resurgence in national parks and protected lands. Some Native American Tribes considered the bison a sacred animal and religious symbol. The United States $2 Bill was first issued in 1862. The obverse has basically stayed the same since 1928. It features a portrait of President Thomas Jefferson in the center of the bill. The colorized bill is displayed in a clear vinyl checkbook style package and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
