The CH-46 Sea Knight is a medium-lift tandem rotor transport helicopter. It is used by the United States Marine Corps (USMC) to provide all-weather, day-or-night assault transport of combat troops, supplies and equipment. The CH-46 has tandem contrarotating rotors, the engines are mounted on each side of the rear rotor pedestal with a driveshaft to the forward rotor, and the engines are coupled so either could power both rotors in an emergency. This specific CH-46 is painted in the Marine (USMC) paint scheme. The CH-46 has been used in all Marine combat and peacetime environments since its introduction and is still regularly used. CH-46 Sea Knights were used by the USMC during its 2003 invasion of Iraq.

This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
