Product Information
This reproduction map of Virginia by John White, focused largely on what is present-day North Carolina, was the first to use the name Chesapeake (Chesepiooc Sinus) and the second map to use the term Roanoke (Roanoac). Decorated with sailing ships and sea monsters, this very early looks at Colonial Virginia is a view into the past. This map, complete with the positions of Indian Villages, is still referenced by historians and researchers to this day.
