Designed by Victor Brenner in honor of the 100th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth and first to display the image of an actual person, this historical penny was introduced in 1909. The First Year of Issue, Lincoln wheat-ear pennies were minted of 95% copper. The two piece set includes a 1909 Lincoln Wheat Penny and a 1909 VDB(designer's initials) Lincoln Wheat Penny so that you may see both the obverse and reverse of the coin. The coins are displayed in a protective acrylic case. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
