Product Information
Uncirculated sets are one of the most popular ways to collect coins. Offered here is a decade collection of 1970’s United States uncirculated sets issued from 1970-1979. Each set contains examples of Lincoln cents, Jefferson nickels, Roosevelt dimes, Washington quarters, and Kennedy half dollars produced for circulation by each mint. In addition, the 1973-1978 sets include 2 Eisenhower dollars, and the 1979 set includes 2 Susan B. Anthony dollars. You will receive 10 sets in the original government packaging, one from each of the years 1970-1979, for a total of 117 coins.
About Uncirculated Sets:
Since 1947, the U.S. Mint has issued annual coin sets featuring brilliant uncirculated examples of every coin intended for circulation that year. One specimen from each Mint location is included-- Philadelphia, Denver, and/or San Francisco, depending on the year. Although the packaging has changed over time, the basic concept remains. After more than 70 years of production, these annual coin sets continue to be one of the most popular and affordable ways to collect coins. Consider pairing the uncirculated coin sets with the annual proof sets to obtain one of every circulating coin struck in each finish and at every mint.
