The Silver Tone Half Dollar Coin Pocket Watch is the classic timepiece. A simple but sleek silver-tone case houses the genuine United States half a dollar. The Silver Franklin Half Dollar was minted from 1948 to 1963. When it was issued in 1948, Benjamin Franklin became the first person other than a president to be immortalized on a circulating U.S. coin.
Even the Liberty Bell on the reverse is a “first"— all previous silver coins featured large stylized eagles (To comply with a requirement to include the national bird, a miniature eagle is adjacent to the bell). This half dollar is then lavishly layered in pure 24k Gold. The coin is secure in the pocket watch casing and opens to quartz style and second sweeping hand over classic Roman numerals.
The pocket watch is 1 3/4 inches in diameter and hangs from a 14-inch steel fob open link chain. This historical high polished timepiece displays the beauty of a genuine US coin on the front and opens up to a black face displaying the skeleton watch.
Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. Comes in a blue pouch. Mint marks and years may vary.
