The 1988 Olympic Silver Dollar was issued to commemorate the 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Seoul. The genuine commemorative coin was issued by the United States Mint and is composed of 90% silver. The obverse of the silver dollar was designed by Patricia Lewis Verani and features one hand holding the Statue of Liberty's torch and the other holding an Olympic torch. The reverse was designed by Sherl Joseph Winter and features the Olympic rings and a pair of olive branches. The commemorative coin was minted in Denver and San Francisco. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
