Whiskey “tasting” isn’t the same as whiskey “drinking.” Tasting involves a much deeper experience in which one can unfold and experience the complex tastes and aromas, the nuances that have become the perfect combination of the distiller’s art and science.
Tasting glasses are different than drinking glasses. Tasting glasses should be smaller, accessible… and should never contain ice or mixes… a good tasting glass helps to “open up” the spirits, revealing an array of tastes.
We selected our tasting glasses for size and shape to complement the art of tasting. We think that every new bottle should be “tasted” before it’s poured for drinking. The tasting will help bring out and highlight that same complexity when you're having a drink with friends.
We offer this set of 8 tasting glasses, 2 each engraved with numbers 1 through 4... a code for a blind tasting with friends. The tasting glass' capacity is 5 3/4 oz, sufficient to splash a bit, roll it around, and "nose it."
Tasting new bottles is a fantastic group activity that can be shared, comparing notes about what you experience. Blind tasting is even better…
