The Washington Quarter celebrated the country's 200 year anniversary with a Bicentennial edition. The Bicentennial Quarter was minted in 1975-76. It is dual dated for the anniversary 1776-1976. The obverse displays an image of George Washington's bust and the reverse shows the image of a revolutionary drummer. The quarter has been composed of copper nickel since 1965.
