The perfect gift for someone who loves Christmas. The United States Mint started the American Women In Quarters Program in 2022. The first woman in the quarter series was Maya Angelou, a writer, performer, and social activist. The Washington Quarter was first minted in 1932. The Maya Angelou quarter was released in February 2022. The reverse displays Maya Angelou with her arms uplifted with a bird in flight and a rising sun behind her. The images are inspired by her poetry and represent the way she lived. The image was designed by Craig Campbell and Emily Damstra. The bezelled women's quarter hangs in the center of a fine pewter snowman ornament. The snowman ornament measures 2.75 inches tall. The ornament comes with a red ribbon in a blue jewelry pouch and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. All years and mint marks will vary.
