Uncirculated sets are one of the most popular ways to collect coins. Offered here is a decade collection of 1980’s United States uncirculated sets issued between 1980 and 1989. Each set contains 2 examples of Lincoln cents, Jefferson nickels, Roosevelt dimes, Washington quarters, and Kennedy half dollars produced for circulation at the Philadelphia and Denver Mints. In addition, the 1980 and 1981 sets include 3 Susan B. Anthony dollars produced at the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mints. You will receive 8 sets in the original government packaging, one from each of the years 1980-1981, and 1984-1989 for a total of 86 coins. The U.S. Mint did not produce uncirculated sets in 1982 or 1983.
About Uncirculated Sets:
Since 1947, the U.S. Mint has issued annual coin sets featuring brilliant uncirculated examples of every coin intended for circulation that year. One specimen from each Mint location is included-- Philadelphia, Denver, and/or San Francisco, depending on the year. Although the packaging has changed over time, the basic concept remains. After more than 70 years of production, these annual coin sets continue to be one of the most popular and affordable ways to collect coins. Consider pairing the uncirculated coin sets with the annual proof sets to obtain one of every circulating coin struck in each finish and at every mint.
