Bankers Bag of 2,500 Lincoln Copper Pennies 1959-1982, with three free 2025 Lincoln "Last Year of Issue" Penny

Genuine Lincoln 95% Copper Cents – The Last Copper Pennies of Their Kind. Last year, we offered genuine Lincoln copper cents struck by the U.S. Mint from 1959–1982, and the response was extraordinary — more than ONE MILLION coins sold in just six weeks! After selling out, we immediately began searching for more, and it took nearly six months to accumulate enough genuine copper cents to bring this special offer back. These historic Lincoln cents represent the end of an era in American coinage — the last 95% copper pennies made for circulation. From 1959 through part of 1982, U.S. cents were struck in the traditional 95% copper composition before the Mint transitioned to primarily copper-plated zinc cents. Today, these old copper pennies are becoming increasingly difficult to encounter in everyday pocket change. You rarely see these 95% copper pennies in circulation anymore, making each bag a fascinating collection of genuine American coins from a bygone era. And there is something remarkable about what these pennies are made of. Based on current copper prices, each 95% copper penny contains more than four cents' worth of copper — more than four times its one-cent face value. At today's copper price, the copper contained in a $50 face-value quantity of these 95% copper cents has a theoretical metal value of approximately $220. And this special collection gets even better: we're including three 2025 Lincoln cents FREE! The historic 2025 Lincoln cent marked the final year of the circulating U.S. penny, making it the perfect companion to America's earlier copper cents.

Metal value is approximate and fluctuates with the market price of copper. U.S. law currently prohibits the melting or treatment of one-cent coins for their metal value except as permitted by applicable law. Coins are offered as collectible U.S. coins, not for melting.
